Through the 2010 election season I was Regional Field Director of the Eastern Washington Coordinated Campaign team.  In this role I supervised eight staff working out of offices in Spokane, Yakima, and Kennewick. This provided me the opportunity to learn about the 20 counties east of the Cascades, studying the parties, populations, voter registration patterns, election turnout, and results.

Each of the counties and legislative districts has its own personality, party structure, and motivations. There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ structure that will operate across all regions. ‘Business as usual’ means something different to each area and respecting those differences while providing training, materials, and programs will help each achieve better than usual.

The recent redistricting brings some twists to Eastern Washington for 2012 and we welcome the 3rd and 8th Congressional Districts to the 'Dry-Side' of the State.
